Clinical Medical Director

About the role

The Clinic Medical Director leads all aspects of outpatient care services including quality improvement and financial excellence at the Center for Family Medicine residency clinic. They also educate family medicine resident physicians and assist in curriculum development. The Medical Director oversees clinical performance, ensures compliance with regulatory and licensing agencies, implements clinic protocols, and develops performance objectives, productivity, and compliance benchmarks.

Responsibilities

• Lead all outpatient care services including quality improvement and financial excellence
• Educate family medicine resident physicians and assist in curriculum development
• Oversee clinical performance and ensure compliance with regulatory and licensing agencies
• Implement, review, and develop clinic protocols, performance objectives, productivity, and compliance benchmarks
• Monitor inpatient call or obstetrical care if needed

Requirements

• Board-certified family physician licensed in the State of South Dakota
• At least five years of clinical outpatient experience preferred

Schedule

• Outpatient position, but inpatient call or obstetrical care can be considered for additional compensation
