About the role
The Clinical Manager oversees the clinical team—excluding providers and radiology personnel—including nursing staff and EMTs. They ensure all care is aligned with hospital clinical policies and protocols while promoting a culture of teamwork, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight of all clinical staff (excluding providers and radiology personnel), in alignment with Intuitive Health and Hospital leadership.
- Recruit, hire, and manage onboarding of clinical staff in coordination with the Hospital.
- Provide initial and ongoing training, education, and mentoring to clinical staff.
- Deliver ongoing leadership development and coaching to clinical team members.
- Serve as the cultural champion for non-physician clinical employees, fostering a respectful and inclusive work environment.
- Support a patient- and team-centered culture focused on service, safety, and operational excellence.
- Develop and manage clinical staff schedules.
- Assist the Hospital, as directed, with performance evaluations using the Hospital’s processes, timelines, and tools.
- Participate in applicable committees and hospital or Intuitive initiatives, including community outreach.
- Coordinate with Clinical Leadership, Medical Director, and other Clinical Managers to implement quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
- Provide quarterly reporting on site-specific performance metrics.
- Ensure compliance with Hospital policies and protocols, as well as regulatory, licensing, and accreditation requirements.
- Participate in regulatory and accreditation preparedness and survey activities.
- Collaborate with Intuitive and Hospital teams to support and enhance patient satisfaction.
- Manage the customer service experience at the site, in coordination with the Medical Director and operations leadership.
- Promote a welcoming, reassuring environment for patients and their families—encouraging active participation in care decisions.
- Ensure a clean and organized work environment, which may include light housekeeping duties as needed (e.g., emptying trash, mopping, wiping down surfaces).
- Perform other duties as assigned or needed to support clinical and operational excellence.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in nursing
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in management or charge nurse experience within the emergency department
- Unrestricted registered nursing license
- Current ACLS certification
- Current PALS or ENPC certification
