Clinical Lead II - Site Activation Lead

Premier Research is seeking a Clinical Lead II – Site Activation Lead to join the Clinical Management team. The role supports biotech, medtech, and specialty pharma companies in transforming ideas into new medicines, devices, and diagnostics, with a focus on site activation and study start‑up.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work and oversee timelines, quality, and deliverables of individual contributors (SSU/CRAs, Analyst) while collaborating with functional leads to deliver site activation.
• Organize and oversee strategic efforts to drive quality and efficient delivery of site activations in accordance with contractual obligations.
• Present internal and external kick‑off meetings to ensure a strong, aligned SSU and clinical activation strategy and that the proposed study budget matches execution expectations.
• Understand client objectives, timelines, and study start‑up strategy; review study budget and start‑up scope.
• Communicate with the project manager and sponsor to maintain close control of vendor documentation required for SSU submissions and follow up until delivery.
• Meet weekly with Site ID, regulatory, contracts, and clinical leads to review prioritization, timelines, monthly targets, scope changes, and risks.
• Monitor and analyze project/program site activation status and provide metrics.
• Provide progress updates to the internal team, client, and upper management during weekly teleconferences and as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) in a clinical, biological, scientific, or health‑related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical research experience in a Clinical Lead, Regulatory Submission Lead, Project Manager, Study Start‑Up role, or equivalent.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and soft‑skill abilities to manage teams and sites effectively.
• Demonstrated accountability, dependability, and commitment.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.

Pay

The annualized minimum base pay for this role is $116,000.00 USD. Actual salary will be influenced by the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency.
