Clinical Laboratory Technologist - Per Diem - Evenings - MRHS

About the role

The per diem Clinical Laboratory Technologist is responsible for performing, evaluating, and reporting of technical laboratory procedures on patient specimens for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. They follow established procedures to ensure laboratory quality control and compliance with professional standards of practice.

Responsibilities

• Follows established procedures for laboratory quality control, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, compliance activities, and policies and procedures.
• Reports test results in a timely manner according to established laboratory protocols.
• Performs accurate and appropriate testing of specimens received in the laboratory, according to established laboratory protocol and procedures.
• Serves as a resource to laboratory staff and other clinical staff as needed.
• Effectively manages resources such as productivity, supplies, instruments and equipment.
• Plans work and completes job responsibilities in an efficient and productive manner.

Requirements

• Minimum one (1) year experience required.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Associates (Required)Clinical Lab Technologist License (TN LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL).

Qualifications

• Core lab experience.
• Microbiology experience a plus.

Skills

• Basic knowledge of laboratory procedures and instrumentation.
• Ability to effectively relate and communicate with internal and external customers.
• Basic knowledge of laboratory information systems.
• Critical thinking skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Decisive judgment.
• Work with minimal supervision.
