Clinical Laboratory Technologist - Microbiology

We are seeking a clinical laboratory technologist specialized in microbiology to perform routine and complex laboratory procedures, operate instrumentation, and ensure quality control in a high-volume environment. Key responsibilities include evaluating specimen acceptability, monitoring and troubleshooting laboratory equipment, performing preventive maintenance, preparing reagents, and managing supplies. The role also involves assisting with specimen processing and maintaining a safe work environment with appropriate PPE. Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, clinical laboratory science, or medical technology, with at least one year of clinical testing experience or an MLS degree. Preferred certifications include ASCP or AMT. The candidate must pass a standardized color blindness test, be proficient with computer and laboratory information systems, and demonstrate strong attention to detail and communication skills. Additional details: The position involves working evening shifts with alternating weekends. Compensation ranges from $32.50 to $43.00 per hour plus shift differential.
