Clinical Laboratory Technologist II - FT - Evenings - $20K Sign on Bonus - MHW

About the role

The level II Clinical Laboratory Technologist is responsible for performing, evaluating, and reporting of technical laboratory procedures on patient specimens for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. They follow established procedures to ensure laboratory quality control and compliance with professional standards of practice.

Responsibilities

• Follows established procedures for laboratory quality control, ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, compliance activities, and policies and procedures.
• Serves as a resource to laboratory staff and other clinical staff.
• Serves as Charge Technologist.
• Reports test results in a timely manner according to established laboratory protocols.
• Plans work and completes job responsibilities in an efficient and productive manner.
• Affords support to student technologists.

Requirements

• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience required as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
• Florida State License as a Technologist (TN License) or Supervisor (SU License) in the area of responsibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Experience in Chemistry and Hematology is preferred.

Skills

• Intermediate knowledge of laboratory procedures and instrumentation.
• Ability to effectively relate and communicate with internal and external customers.
• Intermediate knowledge of laboratory information systems.
• Critical thinking skills, effective communication skills, decisive judgment.
