Clinical Laboratory Scientist II
About the Role
A Clinical Laboratory Scientist II performs the following duties under the direction of the Laboratory Medical Director, Laboratory Director, and Section Supervisor:
- Occasionally obtains samples to be tested from patients.
- Routinely analyzes specimens for reportable results using standard procedures.
- Records and transmits results to the requesting physician.
- Works in two or three laboratory sections.
Candidates with seven or more years of experience as a State of California-licensed Clinical Laboratory Scientist (Medical Technologist) may be hired or classified as a CLS-II working in one to two laboratory sections, provided a suitable job requisition and opening exists.

- Analyze specimens for reportable results by standard procedures.
- Record and transmit test results to physicians.
- Work across two or three laboratory sections.
Requirements
- Minimum five years of experience in an acute care facility laboratory working in 2-3 sections or seven or more years working in 1-2 sections.
- Internal candidates may be considered for promotion based on total experience, job performance as a CLS-II, and potential for success as a CLS-III.
- Valid California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License.

Pay
$52.04 - $77.42 per hour.
