Clinical Laboratory Scientist - Full Time, Evening Shift

Role Overview Performs a variety of clinical laboratory tests on biological specimens, reviewing, evaluating, documenting, and reporting results. Ensures patient confidentiality, follows lab safety protocols, and maintains equipment. Responsibilities Prioritize and conduct tests across chemistry, hematology, microbiology, blood bank, and more.Review and validate test results, considering physiological factors, controls, and instrument data.Ensure proper specimen collection, handling, and storage, adhering to HIPAA and safety standards.Perform quality control, calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of lab instruments.Supervise, train, and orient trainees, laboratory assistants, and clerks.Document and communicate critical and routine results promptly to clinicians.Participate in performance improvement activities and incident reporting.Maintain inventory of reagents and supplies, and ensure work area cleanliness. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, biological or chemical sciences, or related field.Valid Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license in the state of employment.Preferred certifications from ASCP or NCA.Strong attention to detail, knowledge of laboratory procedures, and ability to evaluate test validity.
