Clinical Laboratory Scientist

A health system in Westchester County is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join its Microbiology Laboratory. This is a great opportunity to work with a collaborative laboratory team while performing critical diagnostic testing that directly supports patient care. The Clinical Laboratory Scientist will be responsible for:Performing routine and specialized microbiology testing using manual and automated laboratory techniques.Analyzing and validating test results, identifying abnormalities, and communicating critical findings.Conducting quality control testing, instrument calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.Maintaining accurate laboratory records and ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards.Participating in proficiency testing, laboratory inspections, training, and quality improvement initiatives. Requirements:Bachelor's degree meeting NYS and CLIA requirements, or equivalent grandfathered qualifications.Current NYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist license required; ASCP certification preferred.Knowledge of microbiology laboratory testing, procedures, and quality control practices.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills. Compensation: $100,000 to $128,000 annually
