About the role

Clinical Laboratory Scientist sought by Adventist Health Mendocino Coast d/b/a Adventist Health-Mendocino to perform pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical testing in a clinical laboratory setting.

Responsibilities

• Employ patient identification procedures to ensure specimen integrity
• Perform proper specimen collection, including phlebotomy procedures as necessary
• Label, handle, preserve, process, transport, and store specimens
• Adhere to HIPAA and other patient confidentiality guidelines
• Prioritize lab orders (STAT, ASAP, routine, and timed studies)
• Perform testing in chemistry, coagulation, hematology, special chemistry, urinalysis, blood bank, serology, immunology, bacteriology, microbiology, and referral testing

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Biological Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Allied Health Technologies, or foreign equivalent
• State of California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license, or in the process of obtaining the license

Pay

Hourly salary: $47.60 – $71.34
