Clinical Lab Technologist

Job Summary

This position involves performing analyses on blood, tissue, and body fluids to assist healthcare providers in diagnosing, prognosing, and treating patients. The role includes participating in operational support activities necessary to maintain and optimize testing capabilities. Testing is conducted in specialized laboratories and may involve highly skilled manual techniques or automated testing using sophisticated instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Instrument operation and maintenance
• Troubleshooting assays
• Evaluating tests for accuracy
• Aiding in interpreting results
• Operational support activities to optimize testing
• Working with multiple computer systems to retrieve information and report results
• Assisting with specimen collection

Required Skills & Experience

• Ability to produce accurate results under time constraints
• Proficiency in multi-tasking and performing in a fast-paced, changing environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with others
• Flexibility to accommodate scheduling adjustments, off-shifts, holiday, on-call, and weekend work assignments

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Experience with the operation and troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation and assay systems

Shift Details: Tuesday to Saturday, Day shift, with start times varying from 7:00 AM to 8:30 AM depending on the bench assigned.
Training will be conducted Monday to Saturday, Day shift, with start times varying from 7:00 AM to 8:30 AM depending on the bench assigned.
