Illustrative Duties

• Performs all aspects of blood bank testing, including but not limited to: ABO/Rh Typing, Cross Matching, Antibody Detection, and Identification with appropriate follow-ups.
• Maintains quality control of equipment and reagents.
• Manages meticulous record-keeping with great attention to detail.
• Ability to possess and utilize great follow-up skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent in Medical Technology, Chemical or Biological Science.
• New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License.
• Proven track record/ability to communicate technical concepts across a wide range of key stake holders.

Preferred Qualifications

• ASCP Certification.
• Prior Blood Bank work experience.
