As one of the nation's largest nonprofit blood and biotherapies healthcare organizations, we support hospitals, patients, and transplant programs through specialized laboratory testing and services. As a Clinical Laboratory Technician in our HLA Laboratory, you'll perform high-quality laboratory testing on biological specimens that supports organ, tissue, and stem cell transplantation.
What You'll Do
- Perform routine testing of biological specimens in the HLA laboratory following established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Prepare and prequalify laboratory reagents used in testing procedures.
- Prepare donor and patient testing while ensuring accurate and timely results.
- Prepare blood products and components, including irradiation and pooling procedures, as applicable.
- Participate in blood product inventory management and product issuing activities.
- Maintain complete, accurate laboratory records while protecting donor, patient, and employee confidentiality.
- Perform routine calibration, maintenance, and quality control of laboratory equipment.
- Identify equipment malfunctions and coordinate appropriate corrective actions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement and process improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with laboratory team members to support operational excellence and exceptional customer service.
- Perform all assigned duties in compliance with internal SOPs and applicable regulatory requirements, including CLIA, CAP, FDA, AABB, state regulations, and accreditation standards.

Compensation Considerations
Pay Range: 20.81 - 26.93 DOE
Shift Differential: 9% 2nd Shift Work Shift (if Applicable)
