Clinical Lab Scientist - Per Diem Days

Responsibilities

• Perform test procedures in Chemistry.
• Perform and report test results (both manual and automated).
• Operate laboratory instrumentation and equipment to accurately generate test results.
• Initiate troubleshooting of errant laboratory instrumentation and equipment as needed.
• Follow established quality control procedures and participate in all associated tasks in the section.
• Work effectively in a high‑volume setting.

Qualifications

• Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.
• College graduate degree with a BA or BS in a related science.
• California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license or California Clinical Chemistry Scientist license.
• Recent experience performing clinical laboratory testing in Chemistry.
• Preferred: Previous experience in a high‑volume laboratory conducting clinical laboratory testing.
• Preferred: Experience with current automation and instrumentation used in a clinical laboratory.
