Clinical Lab Scientist

Duties

• Performs various chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, microscopic, serology/Immunology, molecular testing, bacteriology, and blood bank testing to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
• Maintains thorough familiarity with the calibration, use and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Draws venous, capillary, blood as well as performs Drug Screen collections all according to protocol.
• Carries out quality control, preventative maintenance, makes independent decisions, interprets abnormal results, and takes appropriate follow-up action in case of deviation from normalcy.
• Collaborates with lab and other department staff to ensure a seamless workflow.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related Laboratory Sciences, State of Nevada License as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist
• General Supervisor of a Licensed Laboratory, ASCP or AMT or equivalent certification
• Basic computer skills
