Clinical Lab Process Development Technician I
Primary Responsibilities
Support of laboratory processes managed by the operational team
Adhere to the laboratory’s quality control policies, document all quality control activities, instrument and procedural calibrations and maintenance performed.
Follow the laboratory's established policies and procedures whenever test systems are not within the laboratory’s established acceptable levels of performance.
Identifying problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results. Correct the problems according to procedures or immediately notify the General Supervisor, Technical Supervisor, Clinical Consultant or Laboratory Director.
Document all corrective actions taken when test systems deviate from the laboratory's established performance specifications.
Minimum Qualifications
- BS/BA degree in Biology or Chemistry.
- (Please be prepared to provide a copy of the diploma and transcripts upon request).
- Working, solid knowledge of primary biological and laboratory science principles required.
- Recent (within the last year) undergraduate or entry level laboratory experience with the use of standard lab equipment such as pipettes and centrifuges required
Required Skills And Attributes
- Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with an innovative aptitude.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the proven ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the capacity to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency with computers, databases, and working within Windows/Mac operating environments is essential.
- Must be able to thrive in a demanding, fast-paced work environment.
Preferred Experience
- Some prior experience with statistical analysis.
- Experience with laboratory automation.
Pay Range
The expected base pay range for this position as listed above is based on a 40 hour per week schedule. Broad provides pay ranges representing its reasonable and good faith estimate of what the organization reasonably expects to pay for a position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will vary based on factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, qualifications, and other factors permissible by law.

We create foundational genomics resources and capabilities for the community and undertake large-scale disease-based projects that pioneer approaches and advance the understanding of the genomic basis of disease and other traits.
