Responsibilities

• Performs pre-analytic processing of specimens.
• Collects specimens; accessions, labels, and distributes specimens including blood samples by venipuncture and capillary puncture in all patient areas.
• Instructs patients in the collection of urine samples and tolerance tests in all patient areas.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old and/or have high school graduation or the equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year of experience preferred and/or graduation from a phlebotomy program.
