About the role
Assist in the deployment of applications and their components, and support other clinical analysts in maintaining project timelines during EHR deployments and other application implementations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain thorough knowledge of business rules and organizational workflows within administrative and clinical areas.
- Maintain a deep understanding of assigned applications used in departmental areas.
- Assist other clinical business analysts in implementing updates, releases, and resolving issues during new implementations.
- Create and implement communication plans related to application maintenance, changes, and enhancements.
- Participate in enterprise applications maintenance and enhancements, and maintain working relationships with focus groups.
- Evaluate, test, and implement future releases, monthly, and quarterly updates.
- Coordinate upgrades to EHR, EHR components, and non-EHR applications.
- Collect and evaluate new enhancement requests, collaborating with programmers, software architects, and business analysts for optimal outcomes.
- Create tickets or work items based on analysis for development.
- Test new developments and communicate results to technical and analyst teams before rollout.
- Proactively read, create, maintain, and follow application documentation.
- Coordinate and assist in application trainings, including the creation of training tools.
- Support end-user training on updates, enhancements, and core EHR functionality.
- Establish training schedules and designate facility areas for training.
- Provide tier 1 and tier 2 support via phone, email, or inquiries with proper documentation.
- Perform scheduled and ad hoc audits to monitor compliance.
- Maintain and monitor applications, integrations, and interfaces.
- Assist in maintaining application integrity and policies related to new enhancements.
- Develop new documentation related to user support.
- Test and document compliance with MIS policy and procedure.
- Assist in system evaluations with other IT staff.
- Participate in IT team meetings and initiatives, as well as strategic planning for IT.
- Participate in or chair committees supporting standards and accreditations.
- Provide training as necessary, including orientation training for IT and application-specific training.
- Actively participate in performance improvement activities and AltaPointe committees as requested.
- Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner and treat consumers with dignity and respect.
- Work cooperatively with other AltaPointe employees.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor, including administrative and related tasks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Nursing, or equivalent healthcare degree.
- 1-3 years’ experience in healthcare applications (4-7 years for Analyst II).
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and reporting tools (e.g., Crystal).
- Task-oriented with strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
