Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate the values and guiding principles of OhioGuidestone, performing with the highest standards of excellence, integrity, and ethics.
  • Advocate for clients and support their well-being throughout services.
  • Communicate openly, honestly, and respectfully with clients, staff, and external partners.
  • Assist staff in problem-solving, contribute to solutions, and provide support without judgment.
  • Promote and maintain a safe environment for clients, staff, and self.
  • Actively strive for improvement in personal and team performance, supporting the organization’s mission.
  • Follow through on assigned tasks and ensure issues are addressed or escalated appropriately.
  • Use organizational resources responsibly, maintaining integrity and accountability.
  • Develop therapeutic relationships with clients and provide individual, group, or family therapy as needed; be available for clinical consultation.
  • Maintain regular communication with assigned professionals, parents, and outside agencies; provide minor case management and support services as needed.
  • Advocate for clients, making recommendations for clinical and support services, including during discharge planning.
  • Participate actively in treatment conferences, team meetings, and other relevant clinical discussions.
  • Complete all required documentation and paperwork accurately and within designated timelines.
  • Attend agency and community meetings as needed to support professional development and client services.
  • Demonstrate positive leadership, promote a team-based work environment and a culture of belonging.
  • Exhibit positivity, flexibility, and a willingness to take on new responsibilities as requested or required.
  • Present the Agency in the most positive light with all internal and external contacts.

Requirements

  • Minimum education is working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or Master’s Degree in Social Work, Clinical Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy.
  • For Graduate level Clinical Internships, Trainee status: CT, MFT-T, SWT is required.
  • Mission driven; strong desire to make an impact.
  • Possess a valid Ohio Driver’s License with a safe driving record and valid insurance.
  • Successfully complete pre-employment screenings, including drug tests, background checks, and any other required assessments, such as a physical examination and TB test.
