About the role
The Nurse Aide Clinical Instructor position at the Academy for Healthcare Innovation (AHI) is part of a larger effort to develop and maintain a skilled healthcare workforce in Hawai‘i. This role involves collaborating with educators to prepare, organize, direct, and conduct education for students in the nurse aide curriculum.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing, organizing, directing, and conducting training for the nurse aide curriculum.
- Maintain records and develop education tailored to the educational needs of the students.
- Aid in the care and maintenance of program equipment and supplies.
Requirements
- Holds a credential as a Certified Nurse Aide.
- Two (2) years of practical experience in the content area in which they teach.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Experience in teaching clinical content or skills preferred.
- Experience within an accredited educational institution preferred.
Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Knowledge of nursing and healthcare practices.
