Clinical Instructor (CRNA/CAA)

Job Summary

The Department of Anesthesiology, Division of Pediatric Anesthesiology at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus has an opening for a part-time, per diem (hourly) Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) or Certified Anesthesiology Assistant (CAA) at the faculty rank of Clinical Instructor.

Job Responsibilities

• Administer care under the medical direction of an attending Anesthesiologist.
• Document pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative care appropriately.
• Cooperate with the requirements of the department's quality assurance review process.
• Contribute to the teaching needs of the Department and the School, including providing hands-on, one-on-one instruction when assigned to work with a trainee in the OR.
• Work at the University of Colorado Hospital on the Anschutz Medical Campus on a month-to-month basis, with shifts determined by the Department.
• Be eligible to pick up per diem shifts but not call shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
• Successful completion of an accredited nurse anesthetist or anesthesiologist assistant educational program.
• Active certification by the Council on Accreditation of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists or American Association of Anesthesiologist Assistants.
• Successfully applied for the advanced practice registry and licensed as a registered nurse by the Colorado State Board of Nursing.
