Job Responsibilities and Essential Functions
- Conduct activity in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations, including maintaining and submitting required documentation
- Dispense and distribute medication, supplies, and rental items to patients accurately and efficiently
- Manage and maintain a patient census specific to them with appropriate clinical management
- Collaborate and communicate appropriately with all multidisciplinary team members involved in providing services to patients
- Review new orders for therapeutic appropriateness and collaborate with medical providers as needed
- Maintain PIC registrations/pharmacist licenses in various states as needed
- Work with the Pharmacy Manager to implement projects as necessary to support the performance improvement program
- Maintain knowledge of trends, clinical treatment guidelines, infusion therapy standards, and new technologies in home infusion
- Collaborate with the Pharmacy Manager, Operations, and IT team members to develop customized assessments, per individual disease state or therapy type, specific to payer requirements, etc.
- Support the Pharmacy Manager with various department projects and goals, as needed
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team on new patient admissions, including pharmacy counseling, initial assessments, and patient education
Required Qualifications
- Hold a B.S. or Pharm.D. degree from an Accredited School of Pharmacy in the United States
- Be licensed by, and in good-standing with, the Missouri State Board of Pharmacy
- Computer proficiency
- Excellent and effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing
- Soft Skills required: Interpersonal Communication, Adaptability, Teamwork, Attention to detail, Problem Solving
Preferred Qualifications
- Hold licenses in AR, OK, TX, and NE
- Home infusion/specialty pharmacy experience
