Clinical Informatics Program Manager
About the Role
NetImpact Strategies is seeking a Clinical Informatics Program Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate is an experienced healthcare and clinical research leader with expertise in clinical informatics, program management, biomedical data, and enterprise healthcare initiatives. This role will lead complex federal health IT and clinical informatics programs, collaborating with government stakeholders, clinicians, researchers, technical teams, and executive leadership to deliver innovative solutions that improve healthcare operations, research capabilities, and data-driven decision making. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership, governance, and operational management experience supporting large-scale clinical research, health information systems, and digital transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex clinical informatics and healthcare modernization programs supporting Federal agencies.
- Manage program governance, strategic planning, budgets, schedules, risks, and performance metrics.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams consisting of clinicians, researchers, technical staff, data scientists, and business stakeholders.
- Oversee implementation and optimization of clinical information systems, including Clinical Trials Management Systems (CTMS), biomedical data platforms, and research administration systems.
- Develop executive dashboards, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms to communicate program performance and operational status.
- Support enterprise data governance, interoperability, and clinical data sharing initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations, healthcare privacy requirements, clinical research standards, and organizational policies.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement across government agencies, healthcare organizations, academic institutions, and industry partners.
- Drive process improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, research administration, and clinical program delivery.
- Provide strategic leadership supporting digital transformation, analytics, and healthcare innovation initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Health Informatics, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, Public Health, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible experience leading clinical informatics, healthcare IT, biomedical research, or clinical operations programs.
- Experience managing enterprise-level clinical informatics or healthcare modernization initiatives.
- Experience supporting Federal healthcare agencies or federally funded research programs.
- Knowledge of clinical research operations, biomedical data management, and healthcare program governance.
- Experience implementing or managing Clinical Trials Management Systems (CTMS), research administration platforms, or similar enterprise healthcare systems.
- Experience developing executive dashboards, performance metrics, and operational reporting.
- Strong program and project management experience managing multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Excellent written, verbal, and executive communication skills.
Preferred
- Master's degree in Nursing, Health Informatics, Business Administration, Public Health, or related discipline.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Clinical Research Professional (CCRP), PMP, PMI-ACP, or comparable certification.
- Regulatory Affairs Certification (RAC).
- Experience with biomedical research programs, clinical data sharing initiatives, and health analytics.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in Agile or hybrid delivery environments.
- Experience with healthcare interoperability, data governance, and enterprise analytics.
- Federal Consulting Experience.
Pay
- Minimum USD $170,000.00
- Maximum USD $200,000.00
