About the role

We are seeking a clinically grounded, tech-curious, and people-first informaticist to serve as a vital bridge between IT and clinical and operational partners at Ball Memorial Hospital. From coaching new providers and resolving support tickets to proactive relationship-building through office rounding and virtual support, this position requires someone who is comfortable operating in ambiguity, engaging confidently at every level of the organization, and bringing both clinical expertise and a passion for technology to everything they do.

Reports to: Manager – Information Services
Direct reports: None

Shift: Full time, Monday – Friday; hybrid
Location: Muncie, IN (Ball Memorial Hospital)

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a liaison between IT and clinical/operational partners at Ball Memorial Hospital
  • Provide day-to-day Cerner support and work toward Epic accreditation/certification
  • Support additional clinical technologies used across the care environment
  • Coach new providers and clinical staff on effective use of health information systems
  • Resolve support tickets and provide both virtual and on-site technical assistance
  • Proactively round in offices and clinical areas to build relationships and identify support needs
  • Support data analytics and quality of care measures to improve population health outcomes
  • Utilize process improvement and change management skills to promote efficiency through technology
  • Consider the impact of technological changes on patient safety, healthcare delivery, and quality reporting

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, RN preferred
  • Current state of Indiana license as a health care professional (e.g., Registered Nurse with an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license, Dietitian, Social Worker, or Clinical Psychologist, or other)
  • 3-5 years of clinical experience required
  • Experienced user of health information technology systems preferred
