Clinical Imaging Specialist

About the role

This position supports the screening and treatment planning of patients in innovative structural heart clinical studies. You will use advanced cardiac CT analysis to evaluate patient anatomy and support TAVR eligibility and procedural planning.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed reviews and analyses of cardiac CT scans for patients being considered for clinical study enrollment.
• Evaluate imaging data to support patient eligibility, screening decisions, and TAVR procedural planning.
• Audit and document imaging assessments, screening decisions, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with Clinical Science, Clinical Operations, Field Clinical teams, and physicians to support patient screening and enrollment activities.
• Prepare and present patient imaging data and PowerPoint materials for screening conferences and physician review sessions.
• Support consistent application of imaging review processes and clinical protocols across participating trial sites.
• Develop and continuously improve imaging review workflows, methodologies, and best practices.
• Develop educational materials covering CT interpretation, TAVR planning, valve-in-valve procedures, and bicuspid anatomy.
• Assist with training programs for Field Clinical Specialists and other internal stakeholders.
• Ensure imaging activities comply with applicable FDA requirements, GCP guidelines, quality systems, company policies, HIPAA requirements, and study protocols.
• Support audit readiness, inspection preparedness, and continuous improvement initiatives related to imaging and patient screening.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• At least 3 years of experience supporting structural heart and/or cardiovascular imaging.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience performing advanced TAVR CT analysis using 3Mensio or equivalent imaging software.
• Proven experience reviewing cardiac CT imaging and supporting TAVR patient evaluation and procedural planning.
• Strong understanding of structural heart anatomy, cardiovascular imaging principles, and TAVR workflows.
• Experience working within clinical research, medical device, hospital-based structural heart, or comparable clinical environments.
• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail, particularly when managing complex clinical information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate imaging findings clearly to clinical and cross-functional audiences.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with geographically distributed teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
• Relevant imaging certification such as ARRT, RDCS, or RCS is preferred.
• 5+ years of structural heart or cardiovascular imaging experience is preferred.
• Previous experience supporting structural heart clinical trials and participating in multidisciplinary Heart Team or case review discussions is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with GCP, FDA regulations, clinical trial processes, and medical device quality requirements is preferred.
• Previous experience within a medical device company or corporate clinical environment is an advantage.
