Clinical Field Specialist - CT/RI

About the Role

The Clinical Field Specialist will provide education on products within the Advanced Patient Monitoring portfolio through intra-operative case coverage, coordinating one-on-one ad hoc training sessions, and in-service education programs in the ICU, OR, and other acute care areas. They will provide physicians and medical staff with clinical instructions to ensure continuity of education and technical support related to all aspects of patient outcome throughout the continuum of care while anticipating and planning for obstacles.

This role involves advocating with clinicians to uncover opportunities to expand the use of Advanced Patient Monitoring products, including identifying and training select hospital staff members to act as designated guides on BD products. Collaboration with sales reps and managers to implement a strategic plan of action in the CT/RI territory is essential. Additionally, the Clinical Field Specialist will validate software and hardware updates in the field as applicable.

This position requires travel within the CT/RI territory. Candidates must live in this region.

Responsibilities

• Provide education on Advanced Patient Monitoring products through intra-operative case coverage and training sessions.
• Coordinate and deliver in-service education programs in ICU, OR, and other acute care areas.
• Offer clinical instructions and technical support to ensure continuity of education and improved patient outcomes.
• Anticipate and plan for obstacles to ensure smooth execution of clinical support.
• Advocate with clinicians to expand the use of Advanced Patient Monitoring products.
• Identify and train hospital staff members to act as designated guides on BD products.
• Collaborate with sales reps and managers to implement strategic plans in the assigned territory.
• Validate software and hardware updates in the field as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of previous clinical experience in an acute care environment.
• Associate's degree in Nursing or a clinical field (required).
• Proven understanding of cardiovascular science, cardiovascular anatomy, pathology, and physiology.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

• Ability to travel as needed (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
• Critical Care and/or Cardiac Clinical Experience (CV ICU or SICU nursing experience highly preferred).
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (preferred).
• Strong understanding of hemodynamic monitoring (preferred).
• Experience in a clinical or sales role within a Medical Device company (preferred).
• Confirmed proficiency presenting in front of groups (preferred).
• Shown leadership progressing within the Nursing field (preferred).
• Proven ability to inspire change within a hospital/organization (preferred).
