About the role
The UNC Hospitals Cardiac Rehab Program is a well-established, AACVPR-certified program located at the UNC Wellness Center in Chapel Hill, NC. Responsibilities
- Maintain patient safety and monitor response to exercise
- Conduct initial assessments and develop exercise prescriptions
- Implement, monitor, and modify exercise prescriptions
- Provide patient education and ongoing support
- Participate in patient care conferences and discharge planning
- Communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals
Requirements
- Master’s degree in clinical Exercise Physiology
- 3-5 years of experience in cardiac and/or pulmonary rehabilitation
Qualifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred
- Clinical Exercise Physiologist (ACSM-CEP) required within twelve (12) months of hire*
