About the role

The Clinical Engineering Tech position at St. Joseph’s Medical Center involves maintaining and repairing critical equipment to ensure uninterrupted patient care. Key responsibilities include testing, calibrating, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying clinical instrumentation and electronic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Ensures maintenance, operation, and repair responsibilities meet department quality expectations.
• Maintains skills, knowledge of position by keeping up with new technological advances.
• Exercises good judgment and decision-making as a Biomedical Technician.
• Utilizes time productively.
• Adheres to departmental and hospital policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High School graduate with military technical schooling or two (2) years of college with major in Electronics, Biomedical Electronics or equivalent.
• Two (2) years' experience as a Biomedical Technician.

Qualifications

• Technical skills to test, calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and modify complex clinical instrumentation and electronic equipment.

• Strong technical skills in biomedical engineering.
