Responsibilities

• Gain in-depth knowledge of medical equipment, human anatomy and physiology, and medical terminology.
• Acquire basic troubleshooting and repair techniques to effectively service medical equipment.
• Perform essential preventive maintenance procedures on low-risk medical equipment under expert supervision.
• Master the use of specialized tools and test equipment crucial for the role.
• Adhere to stringent confidentiality requirements, ensuring the safeguarding of protected health information (PHI).
• Utilize a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for efficient documentation.
• Learn and comply with regulatory requirements related to medical equipment management.

Requirements

• Must apply and complete the Apprenti pre-screening process and fulfill all prerequisites specific to the Apprenti application process and Intermountain Health hiring requirements.
• Intermountain Health caregivers must be in good performance standing upon acceptance to the apprenticeship program.
• Dedication to learning and adhering to the requirements of the Apprenticeship Program.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate of Applied Science Degree (education will be verified).

Physical Requirements

• Ongoing need to see and read information, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and assess customer needs.
• Frequent interactions requiring verbal communication as well as hearing and understanding spoken information quickly and accurately.
• Manual dexterity to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy, including frequent computer use for typing and accessing information.
• May have the same physical requirements as clinical or patient care jobs.
• For roles requiring driving: Expected to drive a vehicle, which includes sitting, seeing, and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles.

Intermountain Health LDS Hospital, Intermountain Health Park City Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Pay

The hourly range for this position is $22.98 - $35.00, dependent upon experience.

Schedule

Scheduled weekly hours: 40.
