Dallas, TX – Full-time, onsite position (Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM).

About the role

The Clinical Educator is a professional development specialist who facilitates lifelong learning and professional development activities among clinical staff. Through adult learning theory and instructional design, this role drives measurable outcomes in new-hire orientation, ongoing competency, in-services, continuing education, career development, scholarship/research, and academic partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, coordinate, manage, facilitate, conduct, and evaluate onboarding and orientation programs for clinical personnel, including transition-to-practice programs for novice or new graduate clinicians.
  • Design, implement, and evaluate initial and ongoing competency programs for clinical personnel.
  • Create and assess educational activities and programs based on identified practice gaps for specific target audiences, utilizing adult learning principles.
  • Identify and develop strategies to support continuous professional growth through lifelong learning, including role transition, skill acquisition, and mastery.
  • Integrate best research evidence into didactic and clinical education design; promote and participate in research, evidence-based practice, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Consult, advise, teach, and coordinate with individuals, groups, departments, and external institutions on education and learning.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of related clinical and/or nursing experience.
  • Documentation of previous teaching experience (preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree (required); Master’s degree (preferred).
  • Active state or national licensure/certification for clinical professional practice (e.g., RN, RRT, PT/OT).
  • Current certifications:
    • Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
    • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), based on specialty area requirements.
