About The Career
The role of a CDI Coordinator at MRH involves reviewing medical records in real-time during patient hospitalization. The primary responsibility is to identify discrepancies, inconsistencies, or ambiguities in provider, nursing, and coding documentation. The CDI Coordinator then provides active clarifications to ensure the medical record accurately reflects the patient’s true severity of illness, risk of mortality, and the complexity of care provided.

Job Details
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Colorado
- Knowledge of criteria for Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance coverage
- Minimum of three (3) years acute hospital nursing experience required; two (2) to three (3) years Case Management experience preferred; and one (1) to two (2) years Utilization Review experience preferred
- Certification as a Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) or other similar certification through ACDIS within 3 years
