About the Role
The Nursing Manager oversees nursing services and staff within a department, ensuring delivery of safe, high-quality patient care aligned with organizational policies and standards.
Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor programs for effective nursing care.
- Oversee team performance and collaborate with medical staff and administrators on nursing strategies.
- Manage financial aspects by budgeting, analyzing revenue, and forecasting expenses.
- Lead human resources activities including resource allocation, staff development, conflict resolution, and fostering a positive work environment.
- Promote relationship management through conflict resolution, team building, cultural competence, and staff mentoring.
- Drive performance improvement by ensuring compliance with clinical standards, enhancing patient satisfaction, and implementing quality and safety initiatives.
- Demonstrate leadership by guiding clinical practice, promoting evidence-based care, and utilizing leadership theories.
- Support healthcare policy compliance, monitor regulatory adherence, and participate in policy development and clinical standards review.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; master's preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years clinical care experience and 2 years of healthcare leadership.
- Valid RN license and Basic Life Support certification.
