About the role
Heritage Behavioral Health Center is seeking an experienced and compassionate Clinical Director to provide leadership and managerial oversight for our Community Housing programs. These programs focus on supporting individuals with a mental health and/or substance use diagnosis to live as independently as possible in community-based settings.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical and administrative supervision and oversight to Program Managers and team members across all community housing programs
- Lead staff development and training with an emphasis on trauma-informed care, person-centered care, whole-person care, and illness management and recovery
- Support assessment, treatment planning, counseling, crisis intervention, case management, and care coordination as a working clinical leader
- Ensure all clinical activities are compliant with organizational standards, policies, and procedures
- Oversee data management, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting and monitoring of performance measures and funder-established standards
- Monitor staffing needs and participate in hiring and orientation of new staff
- Facilitate client referral and linkage to programs
- Attend Heritage program meetings to support collaborative care
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals with mental health and/or substance use diagnoses, including co-occurring disorders
- Strong knowledge of community resources and social service systems, with the ability to connect clients to appropriate services
- Knowledge of case management techniques and healthcare systems (psychiatric, substance use, medical, and related services)
- Ability to meet individuals where they are in their recovery in a non-judgmental and compassionate manner
- Strong leadership, supervisory, and team collaboration skills
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, uncertainty, and organizational change
- Proficiency in electronic health records and documentation systems
- Ability to think clearly and logically in high-risk, emotional, or potentially dangerous situations
- Ability to provide timely and responsive communication to supervisors, staff, clients, and partners
- Proficiency in computer and Microsoft Office skills
