MedMark Treatment Centers is seeking a compassionate and organized Clinical Director to oversee and develop the Clinical department at a residential facility.
About the role
The Clinical Director provides both clinical and personnel supervision of the clinical staff, ensuring the department aligns with the agency’s mission. This position requires strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to think globally and support the organization’s success.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and oversee all aspects of the clinical department, setting departmental goals and objectives in line with the agency’s mission.
- Evaluate existing contract compliance, monitoring, and reporting to ensure all goals are met.
- Project, develop, and monitor revenue and expense budgets for fee-for-service programs.
- Collaborate with Finance staff to develop an efficient billing system.
- Hire, supervise, evaluate, schedule, promote, and take corrective action for paid and volunteer personnel (interns) within the department.
- Develop, plan, and implement strategies to manage program growth and ensure self-funding and sustainability.
- Regularly review and recommend changes in program services to meet client needs, including oversight of program evaluation and quality assurance functions.
- Assess applicable legal and professional requirements and monitor client treatment plans.
- Ensure contract compliance for department personnel and volunteers.
- Initiate, implement, and monitor compliance with evidence-based practices.
- Work with the management team to ensure successful communication and coordination between all staff and programs; participate in strategic planning.
- Provide regular clinical training to clinical services staff and interns.
- Recruit clinical interns, conduct outreach, and maintain relationships with graduate schools.
- Maintain reliability and consistency in attendance and punctuality.
- Represent the organization professionally and adhere to all policies and procedures.
- Maintain a friendly attitude and communicate effectively with all levels within the Recovery Center.
- Foster good working relationships with staff and volunteers.
- Ascend and descend up to three flights of stairs during a normal workday.
Requirements
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
- One to three years of program management experience and staff supervision, including transforming clinical staff into a highly functional team.
- Experience with client billings.
- Experience and confidence identifying and implementing evidence-based practices.
- Experience working in a crisis setting with individuals and families.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
- Program development, evaluation, solid organizational skills, and public speaking abilities.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer skills, especially Outlook, Word, Excel, and customized databases.
- Ability to work in and adapt to the culture of a multi-cultural, community-based organization.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
- Understanding of the agency’s mission and culture, with the ability to maintain appropriate boundaries with staff and clients.
- Employment contingent upon clear urine drug screen (UDS) and criminal history record.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Satisfactory references from employers and/or professional peers.
- Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screen.
