About the role

The Clinical Director oversees all aspects of clinical operations within the Counseling, Case Managers, and Treatment Advocates teams. They are responsible for planning and forecasting safe staffing ratios for the year, tracking census and budgetary needs, and presenting the Clinical Service functions as the voice of all clinical services.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains high level professionalism at all times as a representative of the CEO, AdCare brand and AAC
  • Provides consistent supervision to direct reports Case managers/Treatment advocates/clinicians
  • Maintains departmental oversight to Counseling, Care managers and Treatment advocates
  • Responsible for fiscal planning and budgeting
  • Prepared annual insurance quality improvement plans
  • Oversight of TJC regulatory monitors
  • Oversight of BSAS regulatory programing requirements
  • Implements evidence-based clinical programming
  • Maintains integrity and responsibility for all Services
  • Participates in daily flash meetings, leadership, and assigned committees
  • Liaison with families of Patients as request during intake, treatment, and discharge planning
  • Responsible and accountable for managing direct reports
  • Able to multitask major projects and initiatives
  • Maintains excellent boundaries with colleagues and patients
  • Able to present themselves with emotional maturity, utilizing political savvy in high pressure situations
  • Able to respond timely to email, text, and calls as needed
  • Ensures clinical services are delivered ensuring fidelity to AdCare’s clinical plan, philosophy, model, design, and methodology
  • Works closely with the director of outpatient services to ensure a seamless continuum of care within AdCare’s various treatment modalities
  • In collaboration with the ED implements assigned QI (quality improvement) plans ensuring all data, reports, project updates and corrective action plans as they relate to clinical services are collected and submitted to QI within established timeframes
  • Demonstrates excellent ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities and complete duties in the allotted time
  • Maintains autonomy and independence with excellent ethical decision-making regarding patient care
  • Strictly adheres to HIPAA and confidentiality policies when responding to inquiries for patient information or copies of information
  • Maintains expert knowledge of the programs’ emergency preparedness plan and emergency procedures
  • Participates in all required mandatory trainings
  • Monitors adherence to company and department policies, procedures, and practices
  • Treats patients, and colleagues with dignity and respect; honors each person’s right to privacy; maintains very strict patient and colleague confidentiality; respects all individual differences; supports cultural diversity
  • Provides documentation of CEUs at annual performance review

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in a behavioral sciences or mental health related field required
  • 5 years experience in a behavioral health setting
  • Professional licensure required
  • Ability to read and interpret written information; write clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar
  • Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions; demonstrates group presentation skills; and participates in meetings
  • Working knowledge of Google Products

Benefits

Compensation transparency: The reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is $96,050.66 - $120,062.26 annually. Actual compensation within this range will depend on the candidate’s skills, experience, education, and relevant qualifications. Generally, placement within the upper portion of the range is reserved for candidates with several years of directly related experience or exceptional expertise.
