Clinical Dietitian - WIC

POSITION SUMMARY

Provide medical nutrition therapy, curriculum development and program management for public health/disease management programs, health personnel, patients, and community groups. Determine WIC eligibility according to the State of Hawaii WIC Program regulations via the HiWIC MIS system and provide nutrition assessment for high-risk pediatric and perinatal clients using patient-centered education as a component of Value Enhanced Nutrition Assessment (VENA).

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• Registered Dietitian (with current CDR), registration from the American Dietetic Association required
• Master’s degree in nutrition (including supplemented by public health courses, from an accredited college or university) required if graduated after January 2024
• Experience in health services for pediatric, perinatal, and/or chronically ill patients desirable
• Computer experience and experience with various programs required
• Knowledge of the WIC Program preferred
• Completion of the Hawaii WIC training requirements within 6 months of hire is required

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• A valid Driver’s License and daily access to an automobile preferred
