How You'll Contribute

  • Approves menus including modified diets
  • Provides nutritional assessments for patients as needed
  • Provides counsel to patients and their families on dietary plans, food selections, preparation, and nutritional principles
  • Monitors the performance improvement plans of the Dietary Services department
  • Provides input in the development and implementation of patient care plans in relation to nutritional needs
  • Consults with patients and family members concerning dietary needs and goals
  • May instruct patients and/or families regarding diet therapy programs
  • Coordinates Dietary Services Department with JCAHO standards for food service and assists Dietary Manager as needed
  • Plans modified diets for patients as requested by attending physician/licensed practitioner
  • Communicates to Dietary team in a timely manner
  • Performs nutritional assessments in a timely manner
  • Monitors and documents patient care in regard to therapeutic diets
  • Reviews patients' charts to determine need for nutritional assessments
  • Documents patient charts with nutritional planning, and updates as changes in nutritional needs occur

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Requires a minimum of three (3) years dietary experience in a health care facility, with concentration in nutritional assessment and planning
  • Current Registration with the American Dietetic Association (RD or RDN) or similar organization and licensure per state of practice required
