Clinical Dietitian - Inpatient-Nutrition Clinical Services

Qualifications

• Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition/Dietetics from an approved/accredited ACEND program
• Currently a Registered Dietitian (RD) through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
• Currently a Licensed Dietitian through the State Medical Board of Ohio, or a Limited Permit holder if registration eligible
• Certified Competent use of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Proficient use of the electronic health record system
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in stressful environments
• Demonstrate strong critical thinking skills
• Ability to convey complex information to a variety of audiences
• Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds

Preferred

• Master of Science Degree in Nutrition/Dietetics or other related field from an accredited institution
• Board Certification in Nutrition Support
• Experience working in a clinical setting

Physical Requirements

• May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day
• May need to sit or stand for extended periods
• See in the normal visual range with or without correction
• Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction
• Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required
• May need to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion
• Ability to communicate face-to-face, by phone, email, and other communications
• Ability to see computer monitor and departmental documents
• Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids
• Requires some exposure to chemicals
