Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition/Dietetics from an approved/accredited ACEND program
- Currently a Registered Dietitian (RD) through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
- Currently a Licensed Dietitian through the State Medical Board of Ohio, or a Limited Permit holder if registration eligible
- Certified Competent use of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Proficient use of the electronic health record system
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in stressful environments
- Demonstrate strong critical thinking skills
- Ability to convey complex information to a variety of audiences
- Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds
Preferred
- Master of Science Degree in Nutrition/Dietetics or other related field from an accredited institution
- Board Certification in Nutrition Support
- Experience working in a clinical setting
Physical Requirements
- May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day
- May need to sit or stand for extended periods
- See in the normal visual range with or without correction
- Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction
- Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required
- May need to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion
- Ability to communicate face-to-face, by phone, email, and other communications
- Ability to see computer monitor and departmental documents
- Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids
- Requires some exposure to chemicals
