Clinical Dietician in Outpatient Rehab

About the role

Sentara Outpatient is hiring a Clinical Dietitian to work at Sentara Therapy Center Fort Norfolk and BelleHarbour. We offer Competitive Pay and Great Benefits!

Responsibilities

• Assessment and nutritional management of acute and chronic disease in the outpatient setting.
• Individual and group counseling, culinary nutrition, community outreach, public education, and scheduling.
• Develops and/or implements a comprehensive care plan based on assessment and evaluation of patient/caregiver needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics or a related field.
• If Bachelor's Degree is not in Dietetics, must complete an Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics.
• Registered Dietitian (RD) certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Experience in outpatient settings preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Skills

• Knowledge of clinical nutrition principles and practices.
• Ability to develop and implement nutrition programs.
• Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
