Job Description and Duties
This position does not have a Classification Specification. The Clinical Counselor (CC) works in Medical Services, Integrated Care & Complex Patient Populations Division. The CC applies counseling interventions and psychotherapeutic techniques within the scope of applicable Business and Professions Code(s) and license, for the purpose of treating incarcerated individuals with Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and the effectiveness of preventative skills and behaviors developed for wellness. The CC performs assessments that assist with and facilitate transitional care planning and coordination that links incarcerated patients with resources.
