About the role

A Clinical Coordinator assists with the daily coordination of staffing and scheduling. They shall provide therapy services including assessment, treatment planning and therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment consistent with the discipline's qualifications, professional practices and ethical standards. The clinical coordinator shall also be accountable for and contribute to program development, quality improvement, problem solving and productivity enhancement in a flexible interdisciplinary fashion. The primary customers are patients and clients and the mission is to build long-term relationships with client institutions along with providing the highest quality of rehabilitation services.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the development of team members through structured activities.
  • Aid the Program Director in providing team leadership.
  • Cookordination of treatment activity between disciplines and team members.
  • Communicate and demonstrate a professional image/attitude for patients, families, clients, coworkers and others.
  • Contribute to client relations and marketing activities.
  • Monitor team members competency, licenses/certifications, and memberships in applicable professional organizations.
  • Participate in pre-admission screening as requested.
  • Document the course of patient care including progress made and continuing need for treatment.
  • Provide patient and family education on tasks and resources that will assist with continued functional independence.
  • Contribute to development of improved efficiency and productivity of unit clinical/administrative functions.
  • Assist with case management as needed.
  • Contribute to capturing quality indicator scoring.

Requirements

Applicants should be a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, who supports daily operations by coordinating staffing and scheduling while providing direct patient care approximately 50% of the time. This role delivers therapy services-including assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions-within an interdisciplinary environment and in accordance with professional and ethical standards of the respective discipline. The Clinical Coordinator also contributes to program development, quality improvement initiatives, problem-solving and productivity enhancement in a collaborative and flexible manner.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in discipline; preferred.

Skills

Must have a degree from an accredited PT, OT program. Current and unrestricted license in the state where services are rendered. CPR/Basic Life Support (BLS).
