Clinical Coder | $70/hr Remote

Position: Certified Coding SpecialistType: ContractCompensation: $50 - $70/hourLocation: RemoteCommitment: 10-40 hrs/week Role ResponsibilitiesReview and analyze inpatient medical records to ensure accurate ICD-10 and CPT coding.Review clinical documentation for accuracy, completeness, and coding integrity.Evaluate AI-generated clinical notes and summaries against real-world documentation and coding standards.Code AI-generated diagnostic and procedural information using ICD and CPT/HCPCS classification systems.Identify and resolve discrepancies in diagnosis and procedure coding.Enter AI-generated patient information into computerized medical record databases. RequirementsActive certification in CCS, CIC, COC, RHIA, RHIT, or other coding certification through AHIMA and AAPC.Strong relevant experience in ICD-10 coding.Access to up-to-date official ICD-10 and CPT coding books, as well as E&M guidelines.Currently working in medical coding, clinical documentation improvement, or a closely related documentation role.
