About the Role
St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Clinical Care Technician for our Emergency Department located within the Florence Hospital.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect patient care to support a unit or facility as directed by a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Participate as a member of the patient care delivery team by collection of basic laboratory specimens and two hour troponins
- Collect legal alcohol specimens
- Perform EKG's and 2 hour EKG's with troponins
- Assist with lifting and transporting patients
- Perform vital signs
- Clean and bandage wounds
- Apply splinting to fractures
- Transport patients to testing
- Perform CPR on full arrests as members of the code team
- Follow all policies and procedures in the collection of laboratory samples and in the performance of EKG's, in an accurate and timely fashion
- Assist nursing staff in addressing patient care needs, rounding frequently and ensuring that environment is conducive to care
Requirements
- High School Diploma / GED
- BLS Certification
Qualifications
- Ability to perform such tasks as vital signs
- Demonstrates knowledge of body mechanics
