Clinical Care Attendant-Ankeny Express Care (Weekends)

Responsibilities

  • Greet, register, and room patients; collect vital signs and patient history.
  • Aid providers with clinical procedures and perform point-of-care testing as directed.
  • Provide patient education and comfort, review after-visit instructions, and conduct follow-up calls.
  • Maintain exam rooms, medical supplies, and clinic logs per protocol.
  • Communicate with patients, providers, pharmacies, and staff effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, and safety standards.
  • Participate in clinic meetings, trainings, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support clinic operations.

Qualifications

  • Current Iowa certification as EMT, Paramedic, LPN, or CMA.
  • IF EMT/Paramedic: Current and Active Permit to Practice/License in State of Practice.
  • IF LPN: Current and Active/Unencumbered LPN License in State of Practice.
  • IF Certified Medical Assistant: Graduate of an accredited program for Medical Assistants (Certificate, diploma, or associate’s degree) required. Certified or Registered Medical Assistant through one of the following required: National Healthcare Association, American Association of Medical Assistants, National Center for Competency Testing, National Certified Medical Assistant, American Registry of Medical Assistants, American Allied Health, American Medical Technologists.
  • Clinical experience preferred!
  • Epic experience a plus!
