About the role

... paragraph ...

Responsibilities

  • ... each responsibility as list item ...
We need to break responsibilities into sensible list items. Could combine some but keep substance. We'll extract each distinct responsibility sentence. List: - Lead and provide strategic direction for all regional field clinical activities including delivering a 5‑star patient training experience, adherence to all quality assurance KPIs, HCP education and development, and internal and external trainer development. - Lead, advise, and execute change management related to clinical transformation initiatives and organizational transformation. - Partner with the Regional Sales Directors and cross‑functional leaders to create a culture of diversity and equality. - Provide an in‑depth understanding of the healthcare provider landscape at the national and regional market levels to influence regional growth strategies. - Support the North Central Region (North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Michigan, Ohio) as a field‑based role, with an expectation to be in the field 5 days/week. - Partner with the VP of Sales & Clinical and Regional Sales Director(s) to provide strategic and motivational leadership as the clinical business owner for national and regional organizations. - Lead and execute clinical programs and initiatives to optimize resources, drive business results, and improve patient outcomes. - Use key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify opportunities and set critical clinical objectives for each fiscal period. - Develop and implement strategies to achieve business goals, focusing on: Annual operating plan (AOP), Patient retention, Training quality, Service level agreements (SLAs), Net promoter score (NPS), Trainer program management. - Oversee trainer strategy, quality, compliance, and budget efficiency at both national and regional levels. - Drive clinical transformation to: Enhance patient experience, Reduce HCP burden, Develop HCP therapy expertise, Achieve excellent clinical outcomes. - Collaborate with commercial teams and manage external trainers to support therapy advocacy and improve patient results. - Act as a key driver of clinical change initiatives nationally and regionally. - Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of insulin products and emerging technologies, providing clinical updates and serving as a subject matter expert (SME). - Serve as a liaison and consultant between field, clinical, commercial teams, the Clinical Center of Excellence, and enabling functions. - Foster relationships with sales leaders to ensure effective information flow on product needs and market conditions. - Manage expenses within budget to maximize effectiveness and efficiency. - Participate in conventions and meetings to enhance product awareness and understand market dynamics. - Work independently while actively promoting Medtronic’s core mission, strategies, policies, and Code of Conduct. That's many items; okay.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience (medical device/pharmaceutical/healthcare industry experience in people or program management, project management, field clinical specialist manager, or clinical education/training manager) OR an advanced degree and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience (same fields).
  • Valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy; driving record will be reviewed as part of the application.
  • Ability to drive approximately 100% of the time within the assigned territory, with possible overnight travel.
Maybe also include physical job requirements? Could be under Requirements as well: "Physical demands described within the Responsibilities section are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions." That's generic; maybe we can include but it's not specific. Might be considered boilerplate? It's about physical demands but it's generic. Might be okay to include under Requirements? The instruction: remove boilerplate, duplicated lines, EEO etc. This physical demands statement is somewhat generic but still part of job description. Might be okay to keep but it's not specific. I'd include it as a list item under Requirements: "Must meet the physical demands described in the responsibilities section; reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities." But it's somewhat generic. I'd include it.

Qualifications

Maybe we can put Nice to Have under Qualifications.

Qualifications

  • Current clinical licensure (RN, RD, NP, PA, PharmD, or CDCES).
  • Prior experience leading high‑performance sales teams in the medical device industry.
  • Demonstrated business planning, consulting, and territory financial analysis skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience identifying economic drivers to maximize performance.
  • Strong data analysis, evaluation, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Effective understanding of profitability and ability to balance company and customer goals.
  • Skilled in analyzing diverse and complex problems using data‑driven evaluation.
  • Sound judgment in selecting appropriate methods and techniques within defined policies.

Skills

Maybe we could put some skills under Skills, but we already have qualifications. Could combine. But we need to follow headings list; we can include Skills if we have content. Could put some of the nice-to-have under Skills. But we already used Qualifications for nice-to-have. Could instead put Requirements under Requirements, Qualifications under Qualifications (maybe education/experience), Skills under Skills (the nice-to-have). Let's restructure: - Requirements: Minimum requirements (education/experience, driver's license, travel). - Qualifications: Maybe we could put nothing? But we need to include only if real content. Could put "Preferred qualifications" as Qualifications. That matches nice-to-have. - Skills: Could be separate but we might not have distinct skills beyond those. Could put some of the nice-to-have under Skills. But we already used them. Could split: Qualifications: education/experience; Skills: the nice-to-have list. However the instruction says use headings for Requirements, Qualifications, Skills. So we need to allocate content accordingly. Let's define: Requirements: Minimum requirements (education/experience, driver's license, travel). Qualifications: Preferred qualifications (clinical licensure, leading high-performance sales teams, business planning, etc.) maybe. Skills: Specific skill set (interpersonal, communication, negotiation, data analysis, profitability understanding, problem-solving, judgment). But there is overlap. We could put: Qualifications: Clinical licensure, prior experience leading high-performance sales teams, demonstrated business planning, consulting, territory financial analysis skills. Skills: Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation skills; experience identifying economic drivers; strong data analysis, evaluation, problem-solving; understanding profitability; skilled in analyzing diverse problems using data-driven evaluation; sound judgment selecting methods. That seems reasonable. Now Benefits: we have benefits description. Pay: Salary range and SIP info. Schedule: Expectation to be in the field 5 days/week. We also have info about application window closing date: "We anticipate the application window for this opening will close on - 30 Sep 2
