Directives
- Plans, organizes, implements and evaluates Health Care Provider CPR, and or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification training.
- Provides educational instruction and testing on the principles and skills of Basic Life Support or Advanced Life Support certification training as required by the American Heart Association.
- Evaluates students according to current AHA guidelines and materials; recommends appropriate remediation when necessary.
- Monitors participants' skill level and body mechanics during training sessions.
- Safeguards and sets up equipment in classroom or simulation settings.
- Prepares and submits all class-related forms in prescribed manner.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, professional training in Emergency Medical responder and/or equivalent experience.
- BLS or ACLS certification required.
- Two years of experience in training specified certification required.
- Adult education experience preferred.
- Current instructor affiliation with the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross (ARC).
