Job Requirements

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • Experience with health care, medical/legal areas and/or a regulatory environment a plus.
  • An inquisitive, analytical, and discerning individual able to make educated decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Works well under pressure, personal diplomacy skills and works well with others.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office, including Work, Excel, Outlook and Power Point.
  • Trustworthy.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality of all patient, corporate, and employee matters.

Responsibilities & Expectations

  • Aid in the development of system-wide programs, policies, and procedures to support Aultman’s compliance and privacy programs.
  • Assist in the analysis and review of regulatory changes and updates of Federal and State rules and requirements.
  • Aid in efforts to communicate Aultman’s compliance program, including written materials and training programs designed specifically to promote understanding of compliance issues, laws, regulations, and the consequences of non-compliance.
  • Provide consultative compliance and privacy support and guidance as appropriate.
  • Design and perform compliance audits to ensure compliance with federal and state requirements.
  • Document procedures and findings in workpapers; Analyze findings and make appropriate recommendations; Communicate findings and recommendations in a written report.
  • Cookordination Corrective Actions, as needed with operational departments and leaders.
  • Perform monitoring activities as needed.
  • Investigate compliance issues that are identified or reported. Establish the facts, analyze and document the results, make recommendations and summarize the investigation in a final report.
  • Identify potential areas of compliance risk.
  • Aid in the development of the annual work plan.
  • Practice ethical conduct.

About the Role

This position plays a pivotal role in the Aultman compliance department’s responsibilities of planning, designing, implementing and maintaining the AHS compliance program, policies, and procedures. The Compliance Analyst will assist in the performance of audits and investigations related to compliance and privacy issues and monitoring of regulatory changes potentially impacting the organization.
