About the role

The role involves performing direct and indirect patient care activities under the supervision of a registered professional nurse. Duties include assisting with patient care, transporting patients, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic physical care to promote patient comfort.
• Affords assistance with activities of daily living.
• Transports and escorts patients for tests, procedures, and discharge.
• Performs routine tests and maintains quality control logs.
• Assists with rehabilitation activities and provides respiratory support.
• Communicates with nurses regarding nutrition issues and patient concerns.
• Ensures cleanliness and safety of the unit and reports necessary equipment repairs.
• Supports unit operations and communicates effectively with patients and visitors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support or HeartSaver First Aid certification within 30 days of hire.
• Prior patient care experience preferred.

Qualifications
