Job Description

Winchester Hospital is a 5x Magnet designated, Top 10 Massachusetts recognized 223-bed regional hospital that is the leading provider of comprehensive health care services in the northwest suburban Boston area.

Schedule

24 hours/week, day shift, 2, 12 hour shifts, including weekend and holiday rotations

Responsibilities

• Assisting with activities of daily living
• Repositioning and ambulating patients
• Making an occupied and unoccupied bed
• Aiding in transporting patients, beds, supplies and equipment
• Collecting, labeling and transporting specimens
• Retrieving and signing out blood products
• Accurately performing point of care testing
• Obtaining vital signs and weights
• Maintaining accurate intake and output measurements
• Removing Foley catheters and saline locks

Requirements

• High school diploma/equivalent is strongly preferred
• BLS – Basic Life Support certification
• Certified Nursing Assistant
• Nursing Student with completion of one medical-surgical clinical rotation
• Three months of clinical care experience
• Successful completion of the Winchester Hospital: Clinical Associate Training Program (CATP)

Qualifications

• Required: Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English with patients, visitors and fellow members of the hospital team
• Preferred: Basic computer skills

Pay

$19.50 – $26.24
