Clinical Assistant (RMA/CMA/LPN/ATC/EMT)- Ballantyne

About the role

The Clinical Assistant at OrthoCarolina is based in the Ballantyne location and works Monday through Friday from 8a-5p. The primary responsibility is to provide and coordinate orthopedic patient care, including performing routine office procedures and testing, patient teaching, communication, and partnership with the physician/mid-level provider.

Responsibilities

• Updating clinical notes in electronic medical systems
• Completing phone triage
• Casting and bracing
• Performing routine office procedures
• Providing patient education

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited program for medical assistants, athletic training, or nursing
• Or experience plus certification
• Certification is required

Qualifications

• Education: Biology, B.S.
• Certifications: CPR
• Other: National Certification (AAMA, NHA, ARMA, AMT, AMCA)

Skills

• Knowledge of EMR (Epic)
• Ability to triage patient telephone calls
• Ability to educate patients, families, and staff
• Effective communication skills
